About Cara
I have been teaching swim lessons for 6 years and was a competitive swimmer year round from age eight through high school on the varsity team. I currently manage a swim lessons program but often get requests for private lessons in the west side of Cincinnati area. I believe swim lessons are most effective when started early but have taught students up to 20 years old and know that people at any age can and should learn. I am currently lifeguard certified/CPR/first aid and have been for over 4 years.
I began teaching at a community education program at my high school which I have continued working for as its grown into a much larger program over the past few years.
I have been lifeguard/CPR/first aid certified for over 4 years and have been teaching swim lessons for 6 years. I also manage a swim lessons program which I have been doing for two years.

Depending on the students age and experience I usually spend the first day getting to know them and evaluating what skills they have already. Then we will progress through the basics of water safety to working on each stroke and being able to swim independently.
I have worked with students of ages 18 months- 20 years old. Depending on the students age I can teach basic swim skills or teach advanced stroke techniques and skills to prepare swimmers for swim teams. I have also worked with several students with autism and am very comfortable teach students with challenges that might make utilizing traditional swim lessons programs difficult.
