About Mary
My name is Molly and I began teaching swimming in 2006. Over the past 11 years I have worked for various facilities including Skokie Park District, YMCA, Chicago Athletic Club, and Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU). I have worked at NEIU for the past 8 years, while obtaining my degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor, and Water Safety Instructor. I am also certified in First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR (infant, child, and adult), and AED (automated external defibrillator). With my extensive background in Early Childhood Education and years of experience in working with young children and teaching swim lessons, I specialize in teaching children's beginner learn to swim swim lessons. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and teaching children how to swim. I begin by helping students feel comfortable in the water and teach them to be confident and independent swimmers.
