About Shannon
Hello my name is Shannon. I have swam competitively for 6 years and I have 5 years experience teaching all ages from beginners to advance swimmers. I am an American Red Crooss certified Water Safety Instuctor and Lifeguard . I can customize each class according to who is taking them.
It's the little things I enjoy from this work. Whether it's a kid putting their face in the water for the first time or even an adult learning how to float on their own. My overall goal for my lessons is for everyone to be comfortable with the water.

With new students, I like to make sure they have the basics down. Proper breathing techniques and floating is usually the first thing we would go over. If they are more advance, we can usually breeze through this portion and work on stroke development.
With my students that are under the age of 5, we usually play a short game as an introduction tool. That way the kids have a little time to get comfortable with me.
