Experienced tutor in Violin in Tempe, Esther offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Our son has studied with Dr. Esther Witherell since Fall 2022. In that time, his interest in and commitment to violin have both grown substantially, which we think is at least in part due to her instruction. He has improved in his intonation, tone, posture, and general playing confidence. He has internalized the skills they have been working on together, especially in shifting, articulation, and bow technique.

The studio's automated system of payment makes logistics easy, and Esther is always accommodating when it comes to schedule changes.

Esther is a wonderfully talented musician and an exceptional instructor!

As an adult learner and novice violin player, I enjoy that Esther challenges me during lessons. She encourages precision with technical skills but is also dynamic in her approach to teaching. She has come up with creative ways to help me improve my rhythm and it’s working!

I leave every lesson feeling encouraged, inspired and motivated.

My daughter has been taking lessons for about a year and I have noticed significant improvement in technique and confidence. She is more relaxed and is thriving in her school Chamber orchestra. Esther is very easy to work with and is flexible with scheduling. Highly recommend !

Esther has been teaching my son for 3+years and she has been amazing for my son! She has taken his playing beyond expected and he enjoys working with her. In addition to private lessons she holds recitals for the students and invites her students to her own performances so they can be inspired by watching her play. She inspires him!! She is always professional and on time. She is very responsive and flexible and communicates well. I feel so fortunate to have found her!!
