About Londyn
I am a junior at Charlottesville High School, and I currently tutor a little girl who—when I first met her, didn’t have any confidence in her abilities as a student. She had been left behind by her teachers, and not given a chance to catch back up—something I have seen many times, even within my own peers. So, I started from square one. I taught her the most basic principles and formulas of her subject, cutting no corners and not moving on until I was sure she understood. I didn’t rush her, and allowed her to move at her own pace, because learning shouldn’t be just cramming information into your brain and hoping you remember everything when a test comes around. I gave her patience and time, and after a few months of her working hard and studying, she has improved so much, and even gotten compliments from her teachers and peers. Her confidence has skyrocketed, and even when she doesn’t understand something, she isn’t afraid to ask for help, because I made sure she knew that that is what educators are for, to educate. It is quite easy for me to say that I am so proud of how far she has come, and I can’t wait to see what her future is like.

My lessons will vary based on age. Elementary will be focused on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Middle School will be focused on simple algebraic equations and some geometry. High School will be focused on algebra and pre-calculus. Although, anything can be taught upon request.
