I have a degree in English with a focus in literary theory. I've been tutoring since I was in High School, including dedicated work at multiple college writing centers. I currently edit for regional literary publications and assist businesses and local government with technical and administrative writing.

My goal is to not only help students be proficient in writing, but to empower them with the skills they need to use language as a method of pursuing academic and professional goals. I do not ask my students to memorize vocabulary and grammar rules, but instead I invite them to discover their unique voice and personal writing style, so that writing becomes a comfortable and rewarding experience for them.
