I'm Andy, and I bring over 20 years of playing and performance experience to your lessons. Growing up in New Zealand, I developed a deep passion for music that I now share with aspiring violinists.
Background: Advanced Certification: I hold the Trinity Guildhall Advanced Level Graded Examination in Music Performance (Grade 8 Violin). In addition, I am an alumnus of the Performance Art Division at Burnside High School (Christchurch, New Zealand).
Performing Experience: I served as the Lead Violinist for the School String Ensemble and played Second Violin in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Symphony Orchestra (NZSSSO).
Holistic Musician: My continuous love for music has driven me to self-teach piano, giving me a broader understanding of harmony, rhythm, and musical technique to enrich your learning.

Andy has been my teacher for over a year now and I’m really happy with my progress. Andy puts lots of thought and effort into teaching, taking time to explain technique and theory to help develop his students as well rounded musicians. He also supplements the Suzuki coursework with other interesting pieces, and most importantly makes the lessons fun!
