About Sonya
I love teaching and getting to know my students. I am an easy- going person and make sure my students feel comfortable with me, because I know this is important to learn effectively.
However, I can be a firm teacher and I expect students to listen and to work at home at what we learn, as this is what facilitates progress.
The lesson will teach the student techniques and how to practice them. it is essential that between lessons the student will apply what we have learned to their own practice.
I will teach student's how to practice and motivate themselves to do so

I structure my lessons to suit individual students' needs, goals and wishes. I have a range of repertoire to suggest and provide but am also willing to discuss with the student what music they want to learn. Happy to work on both Classical and Contemporary music.
