About Hugo
I've spent over seven years playing volleyball at varsity level, and it's a sport I genuinely love. Playing every position on the court taught me to see the game as a whole — how each role connects, and how a player thinks under pressure. That's what I most enjoy passing on.
What I love about coaching is the same thing I love about teaching anything: the moment something clicks and a player suddenly trusts themselves to make the play. I'm patient, encouraging, and I take each person's goals seriously, whether you're picking up a ball for the first time or sharpening a game you already have. I'll meet you where you are and help you get better, one session at a time.

I've played volleyball for over seven years at varsity level, across every position on the court — setter, middle blocker, opposite and outside hitter — so I understand the game as a whole system, not just one role. That perspective lets me diagnose what a player actually needs and coach them from wherever they're starting.
Lessons run around an hour and are tailored to the individual or small group. For beginners, I build the fundamentals — serving, passing, setting and movement — with an emphasis on good habits and confidence. For more experienced players, I focus on technique, positioning, court awareness and decision-making under pressure. Sessions are for all ages and levels, and I keep them patient, structured and genuinely enjoyable. Whatever your goal, I'll meet you where you are and help you get to the next level.
