This class is designed for curious people of all ages, seeking deeper understanding and thriving for challenge.
The students are expected to have a reasonable educational background (say, high school or introductory college physics) and willing to advance their skills and creative thinking capability. The classes are organized as challenging research projects, not strictly limited to one subject. For example, after solving and discussing a problem from physics, we may enter the areas of math, raise questions related to statistics and probability, philosophy and history of science.
As an extra bonus and important enhancement for the productive learning, we devote some time (especially in the first few classes) to teaching and practicing Mathematica (Wolfram research)* , the outstanding "computer assisted thinking tool". The students will use Mathematica all over the course, and further in life.
The class is taught completely online.
