My name is Mat McArthur, and as the owner of Clever Clogs Academy, I personally lead our tuition services to ensure they meet the highest professional standards. My approach is designed to be supportive, factual, and strictly aligned with UK educational and safety best practices. My Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I believe in a structured yet adaptable approach that prioritises both academic progress and student wellbeing. Building Independence: My primary goal is to promote the independence and success of my students; I actively work to ensure they do not become overly dependent on me as a tutor. Fact-Based Feedback: I maintain clear, factual records of every child's progress, ensuring that feedback to parents is accurate and helpful. Safe Learning Environment: All sessions are conducted in a dedicated, professional space that is fully risk-assessed to prevent injuries and maintain focus. Typical Lesson Length I offer two main session formats to ensure that learning is age-appropriate and manageable for the students: 60-minute sessions. 90-minute sessions. My Qualifications and Experience Parents can trust that their child is in expert hands: With over 15 years of experience in primary education, I bring expertise, enthusiasm and empathy to every session. Having served as a senior leader in numerous primary schools, I understand how to build confidence whilst maintaining high expectations. I specialise in making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable, ensuring children develop both knowledge and a love for learning. My experience with 11+ preparation and SATs has helped countless children achieve their goals.
