About Sandra
I have been teaching for many years and have proven success with helpIng and guiding students to pass English assessments and exams. I have taught English in further and higher education settings guiding students with GCSE/IELTS/FCE Cambridge exam preparation, in sessional academic preparation. I also offer mentoring and editing for academic writing and critical reading and thinking skills.

My style is udibg communicative methods, and using the target language as much as possible in a safe and encouraging environment, giving plenty of input language such as common phrases, idioms and vocabulary. I adapt each lesson to suit the learners needs. Our first free session will be a mix of getting to know each other and assessment of your needs and level. This would be informal and it means you can see if you’re happy with me as a tutor as well as finding out what topics you are interested in. I am passionate about creating engaging lessons and helping learners to understand and learn in either one to one sessions or small groups. One to one sessions will include encouraging you to use all available technology such as quizzes, webquest, YouTube, blogs, wikis and perhaps buddying up with other students if working in groups (this would be agreed to first)
