About Charles
I am a skilled saxophone tutor with 9 years of experience teaching college students. I believe that music learning should be clear, enjoyable, and confidence-boosting. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand the basics properly while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Every lesson is planned according to the student’s level, goals, and learning speed.
My lessons include tone development, breathing techniques, finger coordination, rhythm practice, and expressive playing. I also introduce improvisation and performance practice to help students feel confident while playing in real situations. Real-life music examples are used so students can clearly connect exercises with actual music.
To make learning modern and effective, I use recording feedback, play-along tracks, and structured practice plans. These tools help students track progress and stay motivated. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to support complete musical development.
I create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable improving step by step. Whether your goal is performance or personal enjoyment, I guide you patiently throughout your musical journey.

My approach to teaching Saxophone is student-focused, creative, and practical. I believe that strong basics lead to confident playing, so I focus on breathing technique, posture, embouchure strength, finger accuracy, tone clarity, and timing. These skills are taught step by step using simple explanations and musical examples.
Creativity plays a major role in my teaching. Students are encouraged to experiment with sound, play familiar tunes, and practice guided improvisation. As a mentor, I provide support and encouragement, helping students build confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.
Critical thinking is encouraged by teaching students to listen carefully, analyze their playing, and correct mistakes independently. Accountability is maintained through regular assignments, practice schedules, and feedback sessions. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Exercises, Ear Training, and Scale Studies to strengthen musical understanding.
