Explore film theory and apply it to practical filmmaking with creating scenes

I have been attending film and editing classes hosted by Chase Johnston-Lynch for the last two and a half years. I started as a complete beginner and under Chase's tutelage my knowledge and my confidence as a filmmaker have grown immensely. Chase encourages his students to learn not just through classroom tuition but also by setting practical exercises and by giving friendly, supportive feedback on our work. Chase has a passion and enthusiasm for teaching that have inspired me as a filmmaker, particularly in his philosophy that we should quick-think our way through problems and find a timely solution so that a film can be completed on schedule. Chase is quick to identify any gaps in our knowledge and offers a rounded approach to his tuition so that whichever role we occupy during a filming session, we will understand the other roles and how we all interact. It has been a real pleasure to learn from Chase, and I look forward to our continuing collaboration.
