About Maya

I have a BA degree in Creative Writing from Susquehanna University. While I don’t have experience tutoring, I do have experience working with kids of all ages. Plus I took education classes, so I know how to teach effectively.

About the lesson

I like to get to know the student, and see what areas they are strong in, and what they are weak in. I would then focus the second part of the lesson on the weaker area, and on building that, until the student is up to par. The first part of the lesson would be building on what the student is strong in. The third part would be a synthesis of the first two—something like an exercise that incorporates both the strong and weak areas.
