Before starting regular lessons, I always offer a free introductory lesson to assess each student’s current chess level and identify which areas of the game—openings, middlegames, or endgames—would benefit most from focused training.
My teaching approach combines proven learning methods and tools that I’ve personally used to improve my own game, including top-quality chess books, ChessBase, and other modern resources.

Each lesson is fully customized to fit the student’s individual needs and goals. I also provide homework and study materials to encourage consistent progress between lessons. Over the past few years, many of my students have made remarkable progress and achieved success in official tournaments.

The listed price refers to one-on-one, one-hour sessions, but I’m always open to adjusting the duration or offering group packages based on your preferences.

  • 1) When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

    1) I learned the rules of chess when I was 4 years old — my parents were the ones who first taught me how the pieces move. Soon after, I started playing regularly with my three older brothers, and that’s how I practiced and improved during my early childhood, especially before I even started primary school.

From the very beginning, I loved the feeling of winning and figuring out how to outsmart my opponents. Chess quickly became much more than just a game for me — it’s a sport that challenges both the mind and character, and I’ve always enjoyed the mix of strategy, focus, and creativity it requires.
  • 2) Which artists or works affect you the most?

    2) I never really had a specific role model in chess. Instead of focusing on individual players, I’ve always paid more attention to what kind of people they are and what values they represent. For me, qualities like respect, humility, discipline, and good sportsmanship matter more than just pure chess strength.

That’s something I also try to pass on to my students — to behave well, respect others, and enjoy the process of learning before focusing on becoming strong chess players. I believe that being a good person comes first, and the results on the board naturally follow.
  • 3) What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?

    3) To succeed in chess, several qualities are essential. First and foremost, you need a genuine love for the game — that passion keeps you motivated through both victories and defeats. Hard work, patience, and consistency are equally important, because progress in chess takes time and persistence. Discipline and focus help you stay sharp during long games and intense study sessions. It’s also important to be able to handle losses in a mature way — to analyze your mistakes and learn from them rather than get discouraged. Finally, good sportsmanship and respect for your opponents are qualities that every true chess player should have.
  • 4) What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

    4) My most valuable advice for staying focused and creative is to truly enjoy the process, not just the results. When you find joy in what you do, focus comes naturally. In chess, for example, I always tell my students to approach every position with curiosity — to look for new ideas, creative solutions, and to think outside the box instead of just memorizing moves.

It’s also important to stay consistent. Even small steps each day, like solving a few puzzles or analyzing one game, keep your mind active and your creativity flowing. And finally, don’t be afraid of mistakes — they’re one of the best ways to learn and discover new ideas.
  • 5) How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

    5) For me, chess is much more than just a game — it’s a lifelong passion that constantly challenges and inspires me. It gives me a sense of excitement, curiosity, and satisfaction every time I discover something new or find a creative idea during a game.

Chess also teaches me patience and emotional control, since even the smallest mistake can change everything. That’s what makes it so fascinating — it’s never easy, but it’s always rewarding. And as a coach, sharing that same passion with my students and seeing them improve brings me even more joy and motivation.
  • 6) What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

    6) I would divide my achievements into two categories.

The first — and the one I’m most proud of — is the success of my students. Seeing them make progress, achieve their goals, and most importantly, develop a genuine love for chess means a lot to me. For me, that’s the greatest accomplishment a coach can have.

The second category includes my own competitive achievements: multiple victories against European and World Champions, as well as several Grandmasters. I’ve also earned national champion titles and had the honor of representing my country at European and World Championships.
  • 7) Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

    7) I’ve often been surprised by my students — both by their abilities and by how quickly they can progress when they’re truly motivated. I’ve had students who improved by over 1000 rating points on chess.com in just one year, which is incredible progress.

I’ve also had the pleasure of working with very enthusiastic young students, some as young as 4 or 5 years old, as well as adults over 65 who approach the game with the same curiosity and excitement. It’s always inspiring to see that passion for learning, no matter the age.
  • 8) Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

    8) My secret is simple — I genuinely love what I do. Chess has been my passion for most of my life, and teaching allows me to share that passion with others. I truly enjoy helping my students grow, improve, and discover the beauty of the game.

Thank you, Superprof, for giving me the opportunity to connect with students from all over the world and do what I love every day!
