About Danijel

I am fascinated by chess since my early teens. Chess in a creative sense is to me a special world where you can be kind of a conductor of your ochestra and try so create some harmony. Years ago I also discovered that it gives me a lot of joy to share my understanding and fascination of chess with other chess lovers. Through last 30 years I won some international and many local tournaments beating many title players including GMs on the way. During my peak i was 3000+ rated player on chess 24 and in 2017 I was invited to play Pro Chess League,for Slovenian team compose of 5 GMs (all members of Slovenia olympic team) and myself. Having an oportunity in the process to get many usefull chess insights from them. So i feel I have a lot of understanding and experience to share with many aspiring players.

About the lesson

I have over 10 years of experience teaching chess to kids and adults. With individual and personal approach to each student I have helped many reach their chess goals. Many of them getting medals in Slovenia youth state championships.
My lessons are mostly ideas orintented, looking at high quality games trying to understand strategic ideas and explaining my thought process in every given position.
In my opinion the greatest value of a coach is to build up your position assesment and making a plan with some healthy chess logic sense. Since theory and practice have to go hand in hand we can also play some thematic games after our "theoretical" part of lesson.
Offering lessons to players of all levels up to 2200.

I play chess as a hobby and didn't have very high aspirations or hopes to improve, but he really took time to analyse my weak points and gave very thoughtful recommendations and I managed to level up my game!
