About Aarthy Sri
I’m a FIDE-rated chess player (1813) with over 5 years of experience teaching beginners the fundamentals of chess. I started coaching when I was an active tournament player and discovered my passion for helping new learners understand the beauty and logic of the game. My classes are designed especially for beginners and casual players who want to learn chess from the ground up in a fun and supportive way.

My goal is to make chess simple, structured, and enjoyable — especially for beginners who want to build confidence and understand the game deeply. I focus on practical learning rather than memorization, helping students develop logical thinking, patience, and decision-making skills through chess.
My lessons focus on building a strong foundation — learning the rules, basic tactics, opening principles, and how to think strategically during a game. I believe chess should be both fun and instructive, so I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and goals.
