About Meer

Hi, I'm Meer — a FIDE Rated chess player and coach based in Mumbai .
Over the past few years I've coached 100+ students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners picking up a piece for the first time, to competitive players pushing past the 1800 rating mark. One of my students improved from 1200 to 1800 under my coaching — and that kind of progress is what drives me to teach.
I believe chess is best learned through understanding, not memorisation. In my sessions we work through openings, tactics, strategy and endgames using Lichess puzzles, instructional videos, and real game analysis — so every lesson feels engaging, not like a lecture.
I teach in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, and I'm known for being patient, friendly, and adapting completely to how each student thinks and plays.

About the lesson

I offer structured lessons for all skill levels across three stages:
Beginner — Board setup, how pieces move, basic tactics, and first checkmates. Great for kids and adults with zero prior experience. Lessons are kept fun and interactive using puzzles and short videos.
Intermediate — Openings, tactical patterns, positional thinking, and endgame principles. We'll analyse your games together to find exactly where you're losing points and fix it.
Advanced — Tournament preparation, deep game analysis, opening repertoire building, and advanced strategic concepts. Ideal for rated players looking to break through to the next level.
Every session is tailored to you — your pace, your weaknesses, your goals. I won't give you a generic plan that works for nobody.
