About Jade
Teaching photography at all levels has slowly become a passion of mine, helping fellow students or people in the years lower than me when I was at university and in secondary school was something I always did without a second thought, gently guiding/helping (when asked of course) others in photography and film always brought me great joy! So it only made sense that I would graduate to professionally teaching after university. Give me any moment to talk about my passion and I will do so with energy! I've been a professional paid photographer for 10 years, this includes mainly, headshots, product photography, theatre and concert photography, and a professional filmmaker (AC) for about 5 years (most recent credits include adverts for Selfridges, Sky: This England, and many award-winning, and BAFTA-chosen short films). My filmmaking is also very camera and lighting orientated, and this is something I use to my advantage in teaching photography, as the two are in many ways linked. Please feel free to ask any questions, and I hope to see you in the digital classroom very soon!

With experience in teaching all levels I'm able to adapt my lessons to any age, and photography skill, from primary all the way to university level. My qualifications include teaching technical photography at Norwich University of the Arts for 4 years (and counting). My lessons will be an hour long. My techniques include a lot of practical work and visual learning, I find that's best in achieving and learning especially if it is something very new to you! There will be small assignments after every lesson, (not the first lesson, that will be more of a conversation to see where you're at and what you would like from the lessons etc).

Jade is a passionate, experienced photographer and excellent communicator. A perfect combination for a tutor!
You will learn more about photography in one session with Jade than 100 YouTube videos.
She works out where your knowledge gaps are and focuses on those weaknesses in such a great way - be it technically, compositionally or with lighting.
Her exercises in between lessons really make you think about your photography in a whole new way.
