About Roxana
I am a 24-year-old student in Bioscience and I aspire to become a laboratory technician.
I have a love for teaching and studying, and I feel that I am at the stage where I understand how hard studying can be, especially when there is school/college pressure placed on our shoulders.
I am currently still in college and I'm planning on doing further studies on top of my current course.
I personally find it hard to study but after a few years and many studying techniques, I have discovered some that work best for many people.
I understand that the way I learn may be different to the way others may learn so I become compatible and work with the students to get the results they're aiming for.

Junior Cert, Leaving Cert, PLC, Adult introductory classes.
Time:
I take about an hour per lesson but I am comfortable with the lesson being as long as two hours at a time if needed.
Qualifications:
I have had teaching experience in group projects and within friend groups. I have studied Science at Junior Cert and Leaving Cert levels, as well as QQI 5/6. I have also studied Physics with Biomedical sciences for a year at QQI 8 and I am completing my final year at QQI 7 with a speciality in Microbiology/Biochemistry.
Technique:
My technique in teaching is by using the materials that the student provides me with - books/notes/exam papers. I also have my personal notes.
I focus on areas in which the student finds most difficult to understand, so I break the topic down into "bite-sized chunks".
I also help prepare students for exam seasons with timed mock exam questions and preparing an essay-styled answer.
I discuss the marking scheme and correct homework given by the teacher or by myself and explain the answers.

Details
The first time we meet will be free of charge and will last about 30 minutes.
During this time we will talk about the subject the student is working on, and we will come up with a plan for the level they wish to work at.
This first session is a tester to find the best technique that works for them and to see if the student is comfortable with me as their tutor.
If the student wants to "just pass this class" because they have a bigger focus on languages for example, I will work on that level. If the student is working towards 90% and above, I will work on that level too.
