About Ashlin
I offer Junior and Leaving Cert math grinds at Higher and Ordinary Level, with a focus on creating a supportive and respectful learning environment. Having recently completed these exams myself, I understand the pressures students face and the areas they often find challenging.
My aim is not to rush students or make them feel uncomfortable asking questions, but to work through material at a pace that suits them, helping concepts make sense and building confidence over time. I approach each lesson with patience and professionalism, and I am committed to helping students feel more comfortable and capable in math.
Who knows — you might even find the subject a little more enjoyable by the end!

The core of my teaching approach is student-centered, with lessons carefully tailored to each individual learner. I take time to understand how each student learns best and adapt my teaching methods accordingly, whether that involves step-by-step explanations, worked examples, or extra practice to reinforce key concepts. My aim is to build both understanding and confidence, allowing students to approach math problems independently over time.
Lessons typically range from one to two hours, depending on the student’s level, attention span, and specific goals. This flexibility allows sessions to be adapted to suit exam preparation, homework support, or focused revision of challenging topics.
