My name is Nthabiseng, and the reason why I chose to study Education, in Maths and Science specifically, is because of the genuine love for numbers. Working with numbers is my love language. I have always been a person enjoying overly explaining to people, especially complex concepts and feel very good and proud when they finally understand it.

My lessons are initiated by activating the prerequisite knowledge from the learner's long-term memory that is related to the content or lesson of the day with the help of a teacher (myself). This is to make the connection between what my learners already know and the new knowledge, for an easy sense-making. My lessons are learner-centred, I believe that every learner is different and brings a different knowledge or experience to the classroom and I get to learn from them too. My lessons are driven by cultivating critical thinking, reasoning and brilliant minds of my learners. All my lessons are thoroughly prepared for prior hand, based on the diverse or individual learners I have in class to accommodate everyone. Different teaching and learning materials, teaching aids and teaching strategies like analogies, representations, POEO, examples, non-examples are used.
