About Stephen

With over a year of accumulated tutoring experience: I have previously taught several in-person Year 11 GCSE Maths classes in secondary school for student sitting the Higher Tier paper (aiming for 7+) through my Mathematics Leadership Level 2 qualification. This has allowed me to enhance my teaching and leadership skills, showcasing discipline and patience. Additionally, I am currently tutoring a couple of GCSE, Eleven Plus and A-level students through First Tutors and Tutorful website platforms. My duties vary from preparing and delivering lessons tailored to their curriculum and weaknesses, to assigning self-made homework and revision resources, and providing explanation of the exercises assigned to them. I also ensure to keep in contact with the student’s parents/relatives, informing them of their child’s performance, any concerns or praises about the student on my side, and answer any queries they may have.

About the lesson

I am super excited to have the opportunity to help you achieve your academic goals! My knowledge and expertise of Mathematics, Physics and Italian extends across all examination boards and complexities, from primary school all the way to A-levels. My academic success speaks for itself, and it displays my level of discipline and commitment I am able to provide in order to achieve your goals. No matter your age, academic and ethnic background, rest assured I have your best interest at heart, to deliver the required material as clearly and as effectively as I possibly can. Together, we'll work on identifying your strengths and weaknesses, so we can create a personalised plan that targets your specific needs. I advise you to compile a RAG (Red, Amber and Green) list of topics within your relevant curriculum/specification before your first lesson with me. This allows you to identify weak and challenging topics which may need to be addressed. My lessons and tutorials will be tailored to you, and I'll provide you with personalised homework and exercise packs that come with mark schemes and numerical answers, so you can track your progress along the way. I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, so I'll adapt to your learning style and make sure we prioritise what you need to know. We'll work hard, but we'll also have fun! With my scientifically proven revision strategies, expertise and flawless academic record, you'll be able to maximise your grades quickly and efficiently.
