About Niamh
My name is Niamh McDonagh, I am a 21 year old and study at UCC. I am currently in my final semester studying commerce and German. In the academic year 2020/21 I was enrolled at Universität Konstanz where I took lessons through the German language. Following graduation I plan to relocate to Germany to complete a masters in microeconomics.

I plan to listen to students requests and tailor a lesson to what area of the language they would like to tackle. Personally I’m a believer that teaching through the language is the most effective way to become a more fluent speaker fast and plan to use this approach if requested. I’ve spent many years tackling multiple areas of the language from grammar to translation work to oral practice and more and plan to draw on knowledge acquired here in giving lessons. Since I am actively studying the language and have recently sat the leaving cert (2018), it is still fresh in my mind what resources helped me best when mastering German and how I overcame different hurdles throughout my language learning journey which may prove useful to hear.
