About Gregory
I studied Economics because I wanted to understand how the world actually works — why countries prosper or struggle, how markets behave, and what drives the decisions of governments and businesses. That curiosity has never left me, and it is what I try to pass on to my students.
With a first-class degree in Economics from the University of Sheffield and an MA in International Political Economy from Warwick, I bring genuine subject depth to my tutoring. As a former Daily Mail journalist covering international affairs, I also know how to make complex economic ideas feel relevant and real. Economics is not an abstract subject - it is happening around us every day, and the best lessons reflect that.

My Economics lessons are tailored to the individual student, whether they are working towards GCSE, A-Level or the IB Diploma. I combine strong academic grounding — a first-class degree in Economics and an MA in International Political Economy - with real-world context drawn from my background in journalism and current affairs. Economics comes alive when students can connect theory to what is actually happening in the world, so I weave in real examples, news and data throughout every lesson. We work systematically through content, essay technique, data response and evaluation skills, with past paper practice built in as exams approach. Sessions are typically one hour and are conducted online, with shared resources and notes provided throughout.

Greg is a fantastic Spanish tutor. He makes the learning experience both fun and practical. He knows when to ask repetitive questions and when to allow time for me to process the new content. Highly recommend for both serious and casual language learning!
