About Daisy
Seeing that moment in a student where something they previously struggled with 'click' is why I love teaching.
I'm a very relaxed individual, who is understanding of struggles surrounding particular topics in education. For the last few months I have been working as a teaching assistant in a school for children with autism. Although often the academic side is not a struggle, the social interactions and confidence is what needs assistance. It is because of this I feel confidence is something which should be built upon, as it allows students to feel comfortable to ask questions; enabling them to develop their own knowledge.

Teaching should be individualised and unique to the student. I believe the most important aspect of learning is to build the confidence that you can try anything. If you get a question wrong, it's not the end of the world, just one step closer to getting it right.
I typically teach either 30minute of 1hour sessions. Having taught for 3years, any longer than an hour and students seem to get easily distracted and do not seem to be as engaged. Therefore, a shorter tutoring session, allows for an in-depth, efficient discussion about a topic, with enough time to focus on areas of weakness.
I teach from age 6 to 16, specialising in GCSE maths and science.
