About Deri
Hello! My name is Deri, I am a Politics and International Relations graduate from the University of Glasgow and I am currently studying a Master's degree in Human Right's at the University of Padova (Italy).
I have widespread experience teaching English to non-native speakers through my volunteer roles with Student Action for Refugees Glasgow, and also experience tutoring junior-honours students in Politics throughout my time at University.
I am approachable and endeavour to create a comfortable teaching environment in which student and tutor are equals in the learning process. I have an in-depth understanding of the UK education system, having consistently achieved A grade results throughout my time at high school, and a first-class honours at University. I look forward to sharing this insight with you, to allow you to be completely prepared by the time exam season approaches!

My lessons typically last 1-hour per session, however I am flexible with timings which best suit you. I teach students at GSCE, National 5, Scottish Higher, A-Level and First Year University level.
I have worked as an English Language Assistant for non-native speakers of all ages and abilities with Student Action for Refugees for three years, as well as experience teaching Guitar lessons to children aged 7-14. Moreover, I hold A1 Advanced Scottish Higher Grades in History and Modern Studies. As well as a first class honours in Politics and International Relations from the University of Glasgow.
I offer a open and flexible teaching approach, which creates an equal and welcome environment between student and teach and targets topics they most closely wish to cover. Moreover, I offer 'mock exam' simulations, to prepare you as best is possible for upcoming exams!
