About Alex

I am a friendly, approachable tutor. I find tutoring very worthwhile, especially helping students to understand difficult concepts in as clear a way as possible.

I have recently graduated from Oxford University, where I studied Spanish and Italian. I am passionate about languages, and would love to help any student with Spanish and Italian to get more out of them, whether that's pushing them with Oxbridge preparation or simply helping them to be more confident in speaking.
I would also feel comfortable teaching English, Latin, and History, which I studied for my A-Levels.

At school, I was chosen to be a mentor for a student who was struggling with his Spanish GCSE, helping him for an hour a week. I have recently also assisted a friend's brother with an application for Oxford in languages, advising him on what he could read for his personal statement. Both were rewarding and successful.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Alice

Alex is an extremely bright young man who can apply himself to any task set before him. He is articulate, honest and hardworking. His educational background is exemplary, and his academic achievements speak for themselves. With a first in Spanish and Italian from Oxford University, and having achieved the highest mark in Italian in his year, it is clear he is passionate about his subjects. I would also add that his academic achievements indicate a high level of understanding on how to study and exam technique. His work experience both at home and abroad demonstrate his flexibility and understanding of what is required by a potential employer.
