About Glesni

I grew up on a farm in rural Carmarthenshire, West Wales. My first language is Welsh and all my closest family speak Welsh, so I speak Welsh on a day to day basis and it is as natural as breathing to me!
I love teaching Welsh! I am passionate about helping people to become confident in understanding and speaking Welsh, as well as reading and writing. Learning Welsh will also open the door for you to a whole new culture, books, songs, films and poems.
I really enjoy teaching and as well as 9 years teaching Welsh for adults I have over 20 years' experience in teaching piano lessons.

About the lesson

I teach Welsh for adults and I have got 9 years' experience in teaching Welsh for adults - both classes and individuals, face to face and online. I normally offer hour long lessons and I can tailor the lessons to suit each student's needs. Some people like to learn just for fun, others like to work towards exams - I have helped people to do this in the past.

Gareth is a very hard worker and very keen to improve his spoken Welsh. Hevis willing to work hard towards this aim. He is also very friendly and easy to get on with.

Perfect! My first lesson with Fanni was great. She is really friendly and has a lovely teaching manner. Her methodology is good and she has lots of useful resources to help me in the lesson. I'm definitely going to continue having lessons with her :-)

Glesni taught me beginners Welsh a couple of years ago which is quite a feat! she is a professional, fun, gentle and incredibly patient teacher which really is a gift. Our classes where not the same when she went on maternity leave! I would highly recommend her as a tutor, one of the nicest I’ve ever had.

Glesni was my first Welsh teacher. I completed the Mynediad course with her and passed with distinction. Much to my surprise!
I enjoyed it so much that I went on to do the Sylfaen and Canolradd courses. Some with other teacher’s.
Glesni has a mission to share her mother tongue and teaches with passion. She has the right mix of expert knowledge and encouragement that makes learning very enjoyable.
I have no hesitation in recommending her teaching.
