About Ruby

As a 19 year old General Science student in UCD, I have a keen interest as well as an in depth knowledge in maths, biology & chemistry. I aim to improve the quality of education of each student I teach and aid them in achieving their individual educational goals.

I currently have a first class honours in my degree. I obtained 613 points in my leaving certificate including a H1 in biology, chemistry & maths.

About the lesson

I have adapted a specific method of studying which certainly stood to me throughout my leaving cert & continues to do so throughout college. my approach is question based learning. This entails completing multiple questions of a similar topic while analysing them, searching for repetition & trends within the questions themselves & areas of focus before compiling short-hand notes specific to individual needs. I have H1 standard notes in all subjects I provide which can be made available to all grind students.

Typically 1 hour length grinds provided but can work around what suits each individual student. €40 per hour fee will be charged per individual.

The student should identify the topic(s), chapter(s) or question(s) they tend to struggle with prior to the session and communicate these areas of concern with me so I can adapt to their needs. It is helpful to mention the student's past, grades current & desired grades prior to the lesson, so the aim of the lessons is clear to all.

I had one to one maths grinds with Ruby for 6th year and she was the reason I got a h3 in maths leaving cert.
