I currently give lessons to high schoolers up to first year medical students, I do have a more broader knowledge on grades 10-12 work but I also enthusiastically tutor grades 8 - 9. My tutoring methodology is largely based on helping my clients understand the work as well as they can. From there, once a concrete knowledge of the topic has been laid we move on to apolying this knowledge through practising example questions etc. I am a very patient tutor, but I am also very effective so you'll definitely get your money's worth. I am also supportive of my clients and relish in opportunities where I can develop a tutor-client relationship. Furthermore I am not opposed to a bit of laughter during our sessions as I believe nothing sticks in our heads longer than a good joke.
