About Lucy
I am a first-year Medical student with a strong academic background, having achieved top grades in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and truly understand their subjects, rather than just memorising content. Through my studies and work experience in high-pressure environments, I have developed excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, explaining concepts clearly and patiently. Having recently completed A levels and GCSEs with outstanding results, I understand exam requirements and how to succeed. I aim to create a supportive, motivating learning environment where students can reach their full potential.

Hi, I’m Lucy, a first-year Medical Student at Newcastle University offering GCSE and A-Level Maths, GCSE and A-Level Biology, and UCAT tutoring.
Having achieved A* grades in both Maths and Biology at A-Level, alongside Grade 9s in GCSE Maths and Biology, I understand exactly what it takes to succeed in these subjects. I also successfully gained entry to Medical School and can help students prepare effectively for the UCAT and the medical school application process.
My teaching style is friendly, patient and personalised. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, whether that’s improving confidence, mastering difficult topics, boosting exam technique or achieving top grades. I break down challenging concepts into simple, understandable steps and use practice questions and exam-style problems to build both knowledge and confidence.
As a Medical Student, I have developed strong communication skills through both healthcare and customer-facing roles, allowing me to explain complex ideas clearly and support students from a wide range of backgrounds.
