About Elisha
Hi! My name is Elisha, I'm extremely passionate about Maths and I want to help others excel as well. I achieved an 8 in GCSE Maths and an A in A-Level Maths, both Edexcel. I'm a supportive and organised tutor, who wants her students to feel confident and eager to learn. I bring a calm and friendly approach to lessons, and I make sure to keep a light and approachable atmosphere, so my students aren't shy or afraid to ask me questions and engage in the lessons. I focus on my professionalism and clarity, and ensure the lessons remain organised - I strive to always be on time, and come prepared to the lessons.

I've just completed my A-Levels, so I do tutoring from KS2 to GCSE Levels, for all exam boards, but I excel in Edexcel.
My lessons can be personalised, students can ask me if they want to go over a specific topic from school, or any homework questions. Otherwise, we will just be continuing off of the Exam Board's Specification.
I have previous experience tutoring from when I was younger, and I currently tutor 1 student, who has no complaints :)
The first lesson involves a quick 10 minute test of randomised questions to analyse the student's level and see where they need more help.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, but I am always happy to do longer.
I first explain a topic's terminology and methods and do exemplar questions with the students and then with input after they are comfortable with the topic. Then I give the students questions to do based off what we've learnt. Questions are usually from online worksheets, or worksheets I make myself. If the student is close to their GCSE years, I give them specific exam style/past paper questions.
Homework is always given after lessons, and may be reduced or increased depending on their schedules.
My lessons involve half term and end of term topic tests, to make sure my students are understanding what I teach and to ensure they remember it well.
I always strive to keep the lessons positive and engaging so the student is not discouraged, which helps them keep a love for Maths.
