About Keqi
This is Chris, I am a language enthusiast . I used to teach group English class at a cultural exchange Club in China on voluntary basis. Following my classes, students have become more confident and fluent in conversing in English. I am a native Chinese speaker and I have lived in Australia for 8 years. I am proficient in both Chinese and English language. I hope to bring my success in teaching English into teaching Chinese.

I believe in immersive learning. Immersive learning refers to a interactive process in which students learn by putting text book knowledge into practice and improve through trial-and-error. In practical terms, I will create scenarios that requires students imagination and in which students learn practical conversation tips in a natural way. I will tailor the activities to the students level and areas of interest.
In addition to Immersive learning, I also believe that teaching is a two-way process in which knowledge is shared and both the tutor and the students are benefited. I don't prefer instilling knowledge into student's mind, because I know that answers without questions are meaningless. And people tend to forget meaningless stuff. Therefore I encourage students to come to class with questions, especially good questions.
My teaching plan generally looks like the following： 1. warm up: revision of previous lesson content (10 mins) 2. lead in: transition from last topic to current topic (5 mins) 3. introduction: presentation of current topic (5 mins) 4. activities: simulated language practice (30 mins) 5. conclusion: Q&As(10 mins)
