I have found learning comes best through conversation and practice, so my preferred method involves conversation; this can be prompted by anything (eg. games, song lyrics), which can be tailored to what a student is interested in. Depending on the level, the difficulty of these prompts can of course vary.
This can also be applied to written German; for example, I would have a conversation with a student and then we would work on transcribing it, and examine the differences between written and spoken expression.
I am a student at Monash University studying arts and majoring in German studies, Spanish studies and Linguistics. I have achieved a C1-C2 level of German, and returned last month from 8 months spent living and studying in Berlin.
I also completed German at a VCE level in 2017 achieving a study score of 48, so would be very able to help students specifically with their studies of VCE German.
- Study score of 48, VCE German 2017
- German tutoring (2017/2018)
- Completion of Advanced German at Monash University, 2018
- Winter semester of 2019/20 spent studying at the Free University of Berlin
Perfect! My son was pleased with the manner Eva conducted the tutoring
