About Anna

Hi, I'm Anna-Maria! I have over 10 years of experience speaking Spanish through living and travelling across Spain and South America, including Argentina, Mexico and Bolivia. My passion for the language comes from using it in everyday life and connecting with people from different cultures.

Alongside my language experience, I have worked as a Young Person Practitioner, supporting children and young people through personalised one-to-one learning. I also home educate my own children, giving me a strong understanding of how to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities.

I believe learning should be enjoyable, relaxed and confidence-building. My lessons are tailored to each student, using their interests to make Spanish feel practical and engaging rather than something to memorise. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, learning for travel, or starting from scratch, I will support you at your own pace in a friendly, encouraging environment.

I am reliable, patient and passionate about helping others gain the confidence to speak Spanish naturally, and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are one hour long and are tailored to each student's individual goals, interests and learning style. I believe languages are learnt best when they are enjoyable and relevant, so I incorporate topics that my students are passionate about, whether that's travel, football, music, food, films or everyday conversation. This helps build confidence and keeps lessons engaging.

I use a mix of speaking, listening, reading and practical activities to develop real-life communication skills, while also supporting school curricula and GCSE preparation where needed. I have experience working one-to-one with children and young people through my role as a Young Person Practitioner and through home education, adapting lessons to suit different abilities and learning needs.

I have been speaking Spanish for over 10 years and have lived and travelled extensively throughout the Spanish-speaking world, including Spain, Argentina, Mexico and Bolivia. This real-life experience allows me to teach authentic, conversational Spanish alongside grammar and vocabulary, helping students build the confidence to communicate naturally. My lessons are suitable for children, beginners, GCSE students and adults looking to learn Spanish for travel, work or personal enjoyment.
