About John
I am currently pursuing both MM-Flute Performance and MA- Musicology degrees from the University of Missouri. I perform regularly with the University Philharmonic Orchestra and several other performances around Columbia. I am the current President of the MO Flute Society, an organization that aims to provide support, encouragement, engagement, and motivation for flutists across Mid-Missouri. My main research areas include flute history, pedagogy, and eco-critical music studies. I have won competitions with organizations like the National Flute Association, and continue to promote myself as an emerging artist. I've been teaching flute students for almost 7 years. No matter what age or experience level, I have helped many students accomplish their goals, and I am confident that I can bring encouragement, support, and enjoyment to your flute journey!
