About Analie
I am a qualified food scientist (B.Sc Agric Food Science) with a doctorate degree in microbiology (Ph.D microbiology). My academic teaching education experience is in Microbiology, Chemistry and Physics to undergraduate students at the University of the Free State (UFS) and Central university for technology (CUT). My teaching experience evolved from being a student assistant, study co-ordinator, lecturer at the UFS and CUT to under graduate students to training in the industry to all levels of personnel.

I prefer to use a low tech approach to learning. My learning style is as close to a physical presence as possible and interaction between myself and the student. I belief in conveying academic information in such a way that the student or trainee will be able to see the purpose of the info and how it can be implemented.
I sketch the detail and then discus how this will fits into the bigger picture using relevant examples.
I aim to convey the info in such a manner that the student will make the knowledge part of themselves and trigger their interest.
My mission when teaching is therefore:
to promote positive listening;
to spark learner enthusiasm for the subject and learning;
to provide a strong foundation for longing for further knowledge;
to be able to use the information in a practical world where necessary;
