I have experience working in schools, churches and as a qualified youth worker. I have an MA in Pastoral Ministry, Youth Work degree and Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies. I am friendly and approachable, starting a lesson with a recap or where are you session then moving on to new knowledge and key terms. There is then an activity before a plenary task.

Excellent! I am so glad I chose Katherine. She make the session so easy to understand. She also goes through the key points and sign post me to read up further.
I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and am eager to know more.
Brilliant lecture and I am eager to know more.
I would recommend her to anyone.- Johanne is a really enthusiastic and keen student. Really enjoyed our first lesson - a lot of dialogue and discussion and fun amongst the key points.Katharine's response :

Katharine tutored our daughter (age 10) for a few weeks to help her engage with learning during lockdown. Our daughter had been very reluctant to do anymore online learning, but really enjoyed her time with Katharine who quickly identified her gaps in learning (maths and English) and worked out fun ways to help her learn. She is very kind and patient and fun, and I have no hesitation in recommending her.
Katharine has been tutoring our ten year old son in English and Maths since the start of lockdown. He feels very comfortable learning with her and she is great at keeping him concentrating on his work, which must be quite difficult working remotely. He looks forward to her twice-weekly classes and is making great progress in these vital subjects. The classes really are a great addition to his lockdown routine.
Many thanks Katharine - you've been great and we have no hesitation recommending you to others.
Nigel, Nadia & JJKatharine is an excellent, caring teacher with great subject knowledge. I know her as a friend and also professionally. We worked together providing a CAFOD club in my Primary School and she has also assisted in my classes. Katharine has experience across Primary and Secondary. I have watched her teach and her lessons are interesting and the learning objectives are clear. She uses a range of methods and challenge in her teaching.
We used Katharine to tutor our 10 year old daughter who immediately made Alice feel at ease and had the natural ability to get the best out of her in the sessions using fun and creative strategies.
Katharine always went above and beyond to support our daughter she was committed and dedicated to her learning and wanting Alice to love learning and succeed.
Katharine constantly communicated Alice's progress and outlined any concerns that needed to be addressed.
Katharine was a colleague from a secondary school I teach. She is a brilliant teacher with a strong subject knowledge in her field. She is kind and supports both colleagues and students when needs be. She is well organised, enthusiastic and hardworking. I have observed a couple of her lessons they were engaging and inspiring. I strongly recommend Katharine and know she will be a fantastic tutor.
I met Katherine a number of years ago when she was working with young people at a church in the East End of London. She is a very caring person with good people skills. Her lessons are imaginative and quite inspiring. She will be an asset to your team. I recommend her without hesitation.
Katharine tutored my son in math before he started high school and she was brilliant.
She used various strategies to make her lessons fun
and engaging.
He made great progress and actually started enjoying maths, which is now one of his favourite subjects.
Katharine comes highly recommend in our community.
