About David
I have worked for regional art galleries, specialist contemporary art organisations in a number of Australian cities as well as for the Adelaide Festival and the Biennale of Sydney. I have a Bachelor of Fine Art and post graduate Museum Studies qualifications.
I have developed art exhibitions, selecting artists, writing about their work and designing the placement of artworks in exhibitions so that audience have the best experience. I have also written extensively on Australian art and artists.
I love talking to artists about their artworks and their ideas.

I will tailor my approach on an individual basis. I have experience working with HSC students, amateur artists and aspiring professional artists.
My approach is that art is about ideas. Are the images you are using appropriate for what you want to say? Would your ideas be better dealt with in another art medium? Are your ideas clear in the art you are making? Can someone looking at your art 'get it'?
My approach is a positive one, where I encourage you to keep making art, and to use your ideas and interests to stretch and push your art further than you thought you could.
My sessions can provide you with an understanding of the visual arts industry, art museums, art history and the development of your creative ideas.
