About Marissa

Hello! I am a former math teacher of 11 years. I have taught subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus. I have a passion for teaching and focusing on individual needs when it comes to learning. I consider myself patient and skilled at gaining the understanding of where students are, and creating meaningful lessons and examples to bring relevancy to math. I am positive I can help you succeed in your math courses, and am looking forward to the opportunity to help you!

About the lesson

My teaching approach has always been student centered. I believe in meeting students where they are and filling in any gaps necessary in order to conceptually understand the lessons. I specialize in high school math subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus. I taught for 11 years and am in the process of expanding my career to help individual students be successful in their courses.
