About Jackie
I am a former math teacher who currently works in education focusing on math teacher professional development. I majored in Mathematics with a focus in secondary education, and have worked in education for the past 10 years. I am passionate both about math and about supporting all people in becoming curious, confident math learners!

I offer math tutoring focused on supporting conceptual understanding of topics in order to build procedural fluency and application of topics.
My strengths include meeting students where they are in order to help connections between what they already know and new topics, offering multiple experiences and explanations to help students understand difficult concepts, and using multiple representations to build more holistic understandings.
My experience is mostly with middle- and high school-aged students, but I am happy to work with college students and adults as well.
