About Mari
Learning to sing is empowering. So, whether you are looking for more range, flexibility, vocal power, or self-confidence, prepare yourself for positive change!
I am an award winning singer-songwriter, but I started off as a voice student like you. It's important to me that your understanding and independence grow with each lesson because the point is for you to become autonomous: to learn how to sing well, perform well, and to take care of yourself. A great voice is meant to last a lifetime, and with the right care, it will!
All lessons are a mix of technique and performance. I lead you through exercises, and teach you the techniques to succeed at them. We will also spend time on the repertoire of your choice. I specialize in popular music styles: pop, soul, rock, jazz, musical theater, Latin Jazz, etc.
Teaching popular music styles is a relatively new phenomenon. Vocal technique has been something curated by the classical community almost exclusively. I am happy I can offer you the most up-to-date techniques on how to sing non-classical music healthily, and these are techniques I learned and tested as a student in New York City.
I teach lessons in your home or apartment. If you don't have a keyboard or piano, I will bring mine.

I am happy and thankful to do the work I love both as a coach and a singer! There are a few graduates of Berklee College of Music here, but I am the only voice teacher in Paris who has taught at Berklee College of Music, one of the top ten music schools in the world. I offer you rigorous and fun voice lessons, and I can promise you... if you work, you will grow.
As a teacher, I have worked with about 100 voice students. I've taught private lessons to major label artists, touring singers, musical theater actors, teenagers preparing for music school, professionals who want a creative hobby, and many other types of people.
I've learned that no two students are exactly the same, so I've become first and foremost an ally and creative collaborator of my students.
I earned my degree in vocal performance in New York City, where my teachers sang with legendary artists (like Bob Dylan, Blondie, & Luther Vandross), at the Metropolitan Opera House, and on Broadway. I specialize in contemporary commercial music styles –pop, indie, jazz, soul, rock, world music, and r&b. I'm also an award-winning singer and songwriter with awards in both Pop music and Latin Jazz.

Perfect! Mon premier cours avec Mari a été réellement exceptionnel, un grand moment ! J'ai eu plusieurs profs de chant dans ma vie, et jamais je n'ai appris aussi peu de choses en si peu de temps. On sent qu'elle a vraiment un niveau très élevé, et je me sens très chanceuse de l'avoir comme prof ! Elle a su identifier ce que je dois travailler en priorité et m'a éclairée là-dessus, me donnant l'impression que je vais pouvoir dépasser cet obstacle qui me semblait insurmontable. Perfect! Cela fait 2 mois que je prends des cours avec Mari, et franchement je n'aurais jamais pensé pouvoir progresser autant. Ses exercices sont très variés, on sent qu'elle cherche constamment à faire franchir les obstacles, et à repousser les limites. Le tout dans une atmosphère exigeante et bienveillante. Je me sens extrêmement chanceux de l'avoir comme professeure de chant car il est rare d'avoir sur Paris un tel enseignement. C'est aussi pourquoi son tarif un peu plus élevé est amplement justifié !

I met Mari 15 years ago in New York City, when we were both beginning our careers as singer-songwriters, and pianists.
