About SHATHURYA

I take a structured but flexible approach to tutoring. In the first session, I aim to identify the student’s strengths, areas for improvement and individual goals. This allows me to build lessons around what will benefit them most.

I use a combination of:

Active recall to strengthen memory and understanding
Spaced repetition to help students retain information over time
Exam-style questions to develop exam technique and confidence
Interactive learning, rather than simply relying on passive note-taking
Diagrams, examples and step-by-step explanations to break down difficult concepts
Working through problems together and encouraging students to explain their reasoning

I believe that tutoring should be a two-way process. I like to ask questions throughout the lesson and encourage students to actively participate, as this helps me identify any gaps in their understanding.

About the lesson

I like to understand both your strengths and weaknesses so that we can use your strengths to your advantage and work on the areas where you may need additional support.

Lessons will typically be between 1 and 1.5 hours, as I believe it can be difficult to maintain focus and engagement for much longer than this.

I have 5 years of tutoring experience and have worked with students aged 13–18. I aim to make lessons engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals.
