About Alex
I've given lessons for a couple of years. I'm currently teaching four students, and producing music for one of them. I started teaching to make money - and while this is still a big part of why I do it, I actually have found that I really enjoy teaching.
I remember how hard it was when I started making electronic music - I'm mostly self-taught. I'm happy to now spend time making the process a lot easier for people.

12 years education playing musical instruments. Initially learned blues and funk guitar from an old man. Was obsessed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers - learned how to play almost every one of their songs.
Shifted into electronic music in 2014 - mostly self-taught. Combine my knowledge of guitar and insert it into electronic music. Have worked at Orb Recording Studios in Austin, Texas (Justin Bieber, Skrillex, Blue October, ...) and currently work at Chalice Recording in Hollywood, California (Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, ...)
I can teach someone who knows absolutely nothing about music, or someone who is getting their PHD is music theory.
I like to teach theory as is necessary. Our first lesson will probably involve us simply diving into making a beat/a track/ whatever it is that you're interested in doing. If you need to learn some music theory, then I'll teach it to you as we go. I make lessons fun by helping you learn what you need to learn so that you don't need me.
