About Paul
* I managed to learn and communicate fluently in 5 languages (my mother tongue, French, English, Swahili and Kirundi.
* I have good experience of teaching French to students of different backgrounds, different levels and different cultures:
I taught this language in Rwanda, Tanzania, Botswana and in Australia .
- I remember, when I was teaching ai Prescott Primary School, one year 6 girl saying during the assembly "How could we learn more in one year what we could not learn in 6 years before?"
- When I was teaching French at St. Mary's in Tanzania, my school became second nationally in French national exams.

I use a combination of methods depending on the level of understanding and the background of the student:
1. Natural language learning method: I make sure that my students are exposed to French as much as I can. and many visuals are used in their learning.
2. Communicative learning method: students practice their French through discussions, role play and questions /answers. This will help them to become fluent and confident speakers in various situations such as shopping, asking directions etc.
3. Cooperative learning method: I motivate and encourage my students to work in groups to practice and complete different tasks. I use differentiated teaching-learning approach according to the level of understanding.
4. Structural approach: Students learn French rules and usages in a set of order from simple to complex.
5. Task based language learning method. Students are engaged in different tasks like reading, listening, searching, writing etc.and I act as a facilitator for their learning..
