About Matt
Hi there! :)
My name is Matt (Matthieu to be precise). I'm a dual national (French and British) born and raised near Paris. Being a native, I master French, and being bilingual is definitely helpful to communicate with an Australian or foreign student in English.
Besides this, I'm passionate about languages, having lived in China and Germany, so I have an intermediate level in both Mandarin and German.
I have experience teaching guitar for 3 years, as well as helping class mates individually and collectively during my bachelor.
I'm currently enrolled at QUT, pursuing a double master's degree in finance and management.

My teaching method is naturally based on which student I have in front of me. When I gave guitar lessons, I taught to young kids, teenagers, and adults, and adapting was key. I needed to be more patient and make guitar fun for kids, so that they kept being interested. As for teenagers, they needed to see results as quickly as possible, otherwise they would be discouraged. Finally, adults were often frustrated when not improving in the beginning, but they worked harder and had more self-confidence so I could be more demanding with them. It is exactly the same when teaching a language, I will definitely have to adapt to each student.
