French conversation lessons : feel confident speaking in everyday situations within three months ( retired, expats)

Je travaille mon français avec Virginie depuis longtemps. Je suis formatrice de langues moi aussi et étudiante passionnée par les langues étrangères. Je peux dire en toute confiance que Virginie est l'une des meilleures profs de FLE et d'autres langues avec qui j'ai travaillé. En outre, c'est une personne en or, très cultivée. C'est toujours un plaisir de travailler avec elle.

Virginie has been my French teacher for almost a year now. She’s been instrumental in my desire for learning this beautiful language. She is engaging, caring, and willing to go the extra mile to help her students understand the material at hand. I highly recommend her. Give her a try. Learning a language requires dedication but also a great teacher to hold your hand and help you make progress.

Professor Virginie is first and foremost a nice, positive, and enthusiastic person who makes you feel comfortable from the first moment. She is also very organized and sends you weekly readings, highlighting new words, verbs, and idioms, to stimulate not only your knowledge of French but also your desire to understand the French way of life and thinking. Inevitably, we also end up talking about grammatical rules, but in a natural way during the lesson. Lesson that also becomes a friendly conversation where you can exchange recipes for fish rather than meat, for example! Finally, her debriefing of the lesson is very useful, in which the errors unconsciously made, both in the pronunciation of words and in the composition of sentences, are highlighted.

I took French lessons with Virginie for almost a year and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn or improve their French. She is kind, patient, and creates a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

Virginie is an incredibly valuable and dedicated teacher. She takes her time with everything, is never late or absent, is always perfectly on time, and remembers well what was discussed in previous lessons. In addition, she is very flexible with her teaching materials: the weekly notebooks (billets) are a perfect addition for improving and learning French, and she manages to explain unfamiliar words well time and again, entirely in French yet very clearly. That is one of the most difficult skills for a teacher to possess. However, other forms of teaching are no problem at all either, such as discussing articles found by the students themselves or creating descriptions of events based on photos. Without Virginie, I would never have had the confidence I currently have to address French speakers. I am therefore really looking forward to the lessons yet to come.
