About Florie
I studied linguistics at university and did a master's degree in Translation from English and Spanish into French. I worked as a translator for a year and then started to teach French 12 years ago. I started at Queen's University in Kingston Ontario as a teaching assistant and then got a French as a second language position on the military base in Kingston to teach French to military officers in order to prepare them for the Public Service Test levels A, B, and C. I have worked for many other language schools since then and started giving lessons online 6 years ago. I now work online for Air Canada teaching French to flight attendants and other employees.

My teaching method is based on the communicative approach. Since you are learning a language to communicate, you need to speak as much as possible, so I use an interactive method based on concrete and real experiences from your personal and professional life to have great conversations. As an NLP practitioner, I also help you be clear on your objectives and actions you need to take and have confidence and fun while learning. NLP helps achieve excellence of performance in language teaching and learning, improve communication, optimize learner attitudes and motivation, raise self-esteem, facilitate personal growth in students, and even change their attitude to life in general. It also improves Focus and Concentration – NLP has specially designed exercises that help students to improve their focus and concentration in order to help them in studying and learning. By analyzing language and the words used by the students, NLP helps identify mental states during learning in order to help the students learn efficiently. This information helps the teacher better manage the class, identify students' struggles, and improve student learning. NLP also identifies an individual's preferences in learning.
